Listen Up!

Well, dollies. I have some news.

I quit my job.

Yes, I did. After working at the garage for nine years, I decided it was time to walk away. I have wanted to leave for years. I love working in the automotive repair business, but my job had become more like babysitting a shop full of men than anything else. News flash! I have never been a babysitter. Last week sealed the deal for me. For the first time ever I actually felt ready to move on. The shop was making me a very bitter, hateful, faithless creature. I curse like a sailor and have grown way too numb towards derogatory remarks and jokes. After years of praying "God, please let me know what to do." I finally feel like I got an answer.

I know that I was meant to do something along the lines of art and design. I'm sure that God didn't give me a talent that He doesn't intend for me to use. So I am going to pour all of my energy and creative effort into re-vamping my Etsy shop. I am already working on a brand new line of bags and jewelry that I am very excited about. And, of course, I would love to eventually open a store just for my art.

I have no idea what is going to happen. The hubs and I have decided that we are just going to roll with it a while and see what comes of it. Maybe Miz. November will grow and prosper. Maybe something entirely different will present itself. We will just have to see. Regardless of what happens, its always nice to know that I have a group of online friends to cheer me on. I may need your help in the coming months to help spread the word about Miz. November's new look. I've got a lot of work to do. And I promise that when things get rolling, you darlings will be the first to know about it. New designs. New listings. I will share them with you guys first.

I want to thank all of you. Without this circle of inspiring, brave, creative, ambitious bloggers, I would have never had the nerve to press on towards my bigger goals. You all truly inspire me and give me courage. Much love to you all, from the bottom of my heart.

Good on you, sister.

I could use your faith and, quite frankly, your balls.

Good luck in all the new ventures and readdressed areas of your life. Can't wait to see what you do.

Congrats! Starting a new business is always exhilarating (although also rather stressful)! I just found your blog through the Location Central blog that Slumber Designs set up and discovered you're only a hop 'n a skip away from me (I'm located in Asheville)! Huzzah for Western North Carolina and keep up the writing! :)

Ahh, I am way late, and am so so sorry—this is amazing news!

I wish I was chatting with you, rather that typing via the internet, so I could better express my excitement for your new adventure, and of course, to give you a huge hug :) I am so happy for you. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart—he will give you all you will need. Isn't the path of discovering what you're meant to do exciting? Perhaps a bit uncertain, but so exciting, and knowing He is there is so assuring, isn't it?

You never know who He will place in your life, or things He will bring to mind—ideas, concepts, etc. He has given you gifts, and I just know that great things will come :)

Sending lots of love your way, and a prayer for the next step.

warmly, your friend,
Sarah
