~A Friday Giveaway~

Hello Darlings. I just can't tell you how excited I am to present to you My First GiveAway!!
It's a couple of posts late, but I finally made it. And I hope very much that you like it, because it's a little personal.

I am giving away, to one of you, one of my handmade Classic Bucket Bags. And in the spirit of summer and all things nautical, I made these two bags from classic striped ticking with red interior. They make a great "everyday" bag or a perfect tote. They're big and roomy and double stitched for durability. I carry my own every day, loaded down with my regular purse stuff plus a magazine or two, plus my breakfast, plus the mail....... you get the idea.

And.... I am giving the winner their choice of color! Blue and cream ticking or black and white ticking? Both bags have a big red bow attached with strings of sea shells hanging like a wind chime. Not a bow girl? Don't worry. It's just a pin and can easily be taken off or re-attached.
So, how do you enter to win? Simple. These bags bring to my mind a perfect summer day in the sand. Seagulls and hazy sunshine. Hammocks and shrimp po'boys. Big weathered porches on comfy beach cottages.
*Leave me a comment below and tell me: If you had a beach cottage of your own, what color would you paint the front door?
I will throw your names in a hat and draw a winner next Friday. Once the winner chooses a color, the other bag will be listed in my Etsy store for sell. Good luck, dolls!

Oh, what a cute bag. I am definitely a bow girl, so I'll be leaving the bow on if I win! So what color would my cottage door be ...? A soft, foresty green b/c I imagine my beachcottage near to a big forest, and green is supposed to be the most relaxing color

You did it! :) Good work, the bag is gorgeous and I'm sure the photos haven't done it justice.

Oh, a beach cottage... I'm at work right now (working on a Saturday = boo) and I would much rather be curled up on a comfy couch in the cottage, reading my book. Humpf.

I thought about a red door, but then I thought it would be too bright. So I think a navy blue door, that over time gets worn and a bit paint-chipped from the wind and the salt air to give it an old, rustic look.

Yes, old-looking, paint-chipped navy blue.

:)

oh, if i had a beach cottage my toes would be in the sand and i wouldn't even be leaving this comment....a girl can dream, right ?

so instead i'll dream about winning the black and white bag.....it's fabulous !

and since i'm a black and white and taupe wearing photographer, with blue jeans of course...it would be perfect for all my extra equipment :)

oops....BUT the question was about the color of my front door....see i got all distracted thinking about my toes in the sand....

COLOR....a shade of teal.....the perfect teal that is seen only when the ocean turns it's face up to be kissed by the falling sky at dusk :)

OMG ...look at how talented you are.. these bags are adorable... ...love love love...
i would paint my door somewhere between a teal & robins egg blue.. which I attempted at my house now and is not looking so good. But it would def look right at the beach. Have a beautiful week!

Oh, what a fabulous giveaway! Love that bag, great for summer! Hmmm, a beach cottage door... honestly, I think a sherbet-y tangerine or pink would be so pretty, maybe a pink door with tangerine frame, like a sunrise, I think that might look really cool! XO!

I would love to win! This is the very bag I have been looking for...If I had a beachy cottage, I would paint the door a soft, soft dove grey. It's such a soothing color...

Thanks for the great giveaway!

Thanks for the fun giveaway! I imagine a beach cottage on an island with a grey, weather-beaten door that almost blends in with the sea & sky.
You have a great blog. thevanandthecart[at]gmail[dot]com

this is a great giveaway! i've been needing a big bag for all my stuff, and this one is beautiful! if i had a cottage i probably would paint the door bright red. maybe it's the bows on the bags talking, but i love bright red as an accent piece and have always loved houses that have red doors :)
