Good Scents

Let me ask you a question.

Do you think it's odd for a woman to wear a man's fragrance?

As far as perfumes go, I have a few favorites that I absolutely adore. Burberry is at the top of my scent list. Burberry the original, that is. It's an odd scent that does not appeal to everyone. But it makes me happy. It's the one I wear for myself. You know. The one that I could care less if anyone else likes. It makes me smile and makes me feel like I have a secret.

I also keep a bottle of Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace, which I like to layer with other scents, particularly Lacoste. A touch of vanilla is always a good thing in my book. And a bottle of Gap Grass rounds out the permanent collection.

It's not very often that a perfume sample from a magazine will sell me on a scent. There have been many that I liked and wore around for a day and then never crossed my mind again. But one has stopped me in my tracks recently and I can't get it out of my mind. It's haunting, almost. I have been trolling through my magazines looking for more of it. And here's the kicker. It's the men's version that I like best.

Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme, ladies and gents. It is breaking my heart. I want it. It is calling my name. But is it strange for me to be wearing a guy's scent? The Florale version is beautiful and smells like roses. But the Pour Homme is seriously making me weak in the knees.

What do you think? Could I get away with this? Would you consider a scent made for the opposite sex? I mean, honestly, I'm gonna buy this regardless of what you say. But I still want to hear your thoughts on it.

Okay, I'll give this one more go before I give up (which is weird to write because I could possibly be just talking to myself right now). I've already tried posting a comment twice now and received stupid Blogger error messages for my efforts, so fingers crossed. Third time lucky and all.

Men's scents on women: yes. Absolutely. Definitely. Sexy.

I've stayed true to Dior Addict for close to ten years and I have no plans to stray yet. Sandalwood, vanilla and something so exotic-sounding, even though I have no idea what it is: queen of the night flower. I could Google it, I suppose, but I fear it would be a letdown.

Men's scents: yes.

If you love it, wear it! I always loved wearing CK One, you know the scent for either man or woman? I'm not sure if this is a new trend or something but my 15 year old sisters wear men's deoderant. They just love it and it's scent. They say all the high school girls do it. Hey, whatever works!

And I think you should wear what you want when you want...altho that does explain why i get pointed at a lot! ;0)
big loves to you missus!
